Our personal tapestries are a myriad of moments in time - triumphs and failures, celebrations and disappointments, love and heartbreak, new beginnings and inevitably loss. When we have experienced a difficult or traumatic loss, we may feel as if the grief has swallowed us whole and that we have lost ourselves forever. Grief can be isolating and leave us feeling hopeless. It often seems impossible to see anything other than the depth of the loss. The light in the tunnel is that we don't have to travel this road alone. We can choose to walk alongside others during these difficult times. We all deserve to feel validated, safe and supported.
The goal of the program 'The Journey from Grief to Growth" is to provide a safe space where we can process our personal grief and experience a sense of healing (together) through holistic methodologies. The truth is that we grieve deeply because we have loved deeply. And when we are ready, in our own time, we can choose to see the beauty of that love along with the pain of the loss. We will talk about self-care, self-compassion, forgiveness, connection, meaning, gratitude, commemoration and hope. We will learn
self-healing techniques as we practice self-compassion through sound therapy, art, light movement, and mindfulness.
